Graphic: Contract Vote Extended to Aug. 17 depicting bright yellow envelopeThank you to those of you who reached out to inform us that your ballot mailing for the 2026-2031 PS&T Contract Ratification Vote was incomplete. We took immediate action on July 11 when we first heard about a potential issue. AAA was made aware and has since verified that they were responsible for an error during the printing and envelope stuffing process. An email was sent to all eligible voters the evening of July 12 making you aware of the situation. This week, we have continued to investigate the issue with AAA to determine the scope of the problem. As of July 15, AAA confirms that they received calls from 259 members reporting that their mailings were incomplete; the most common error was a missing ballot. AAA informs us that as of today, July 16, 272 ballots are still to be delivered.

If you have any issue with your ballot, the process remains the same. Call AAA immediately at (800) 529-5218 or email Sacha Ulerio with AAA at ulerios@adr.org. At PEF’s request, they have extended their customer hotline hours from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. A replacement ballot will be mailed to you, and your existing ballot will be nullified. Each envelope is marked with a unique member identification number so that nobody can vote more than once. If you need additional assistance, contact PEF Divisions Director Kristie Furman at Kristie.Furman@pef.org.

Out of an abundance of caution and in the interest of making sure every vote counts, PEF President Wayne Spence has delayed the vote count until Aug. 18. The new deadline for AAA to receive your ballot in the mail is 5 p.m. on Aug. 17 and the votes will be counted and results announced on Aug. 18.

Thank you for voting on the proposed contract.
