Randi DiAntonio

Hardworking and passionate from the start, PEF Vice President Randi DiAntonio began her career 25 years ago as a social worker in Rochester. Raised in Brooklyn as the child of an AFT member, she grew up knowing the importance of the union and became active early on in her career.  Whether serving as a steward, a council leader or as vice president, integrity and professionalism have been the hallmark of her outspoken and tireless leadership.

When PEF members need her, Randi is there. From short staffing to health and safety risks to threats of closures or privatization, DiAntonio is a dedicated and tenacious leader who stands up to advocate for the members she represents and the people they serve.

As well as being a member of the PEF Executive Board, DiAntonio is chair of the Statewide Political Action Committee, overseeing budget advocacy efforts and legislative priorities, as well as member engagement initiatives. She can be found in both Albany and Washington, D.C., fighting for legislation to protect and fund PEF members so they can focus on providing vital services to all New Yorkers.

Hardwired to fight for what is right and just and never afraid to speak out, DiAntonio was a strong voice in New York state media calling for action to correct lack of personal protective equipment and health and safety issues during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Her actions and results have been consistent with the union values and principles that drive her. Experienced, frank and outspoken, DiAntonio is the uniquely qualified leader PEF needs to continue to meet its challenges.
