The SHIP provides grants up to a maximum of $30,000, to assist in the development of safety and health programs and training. These grants can be used to support a variety of initiatives. We encourage you to consult with the Statewide Committee Co-Chairs and PEF staff in your grant development process so that we may suggest qualified program and training providers and assist with grant development. We have purposefully tried to simplify the grant application process. A good starting point in selecting a project is to evaluate which job hazards are causing injury, illness, and workers\u2019 compensation costs.<\/p>\n<p>Examples of fundable projects:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Back Injury\/Ergonomics Program and Training<\/li>\n<li>Bloodborne Pathogens and TB Training \u2013 Beyond Regulatory<\/li>\n<li>Emergency Preparedness\/Response<\/li>\n<li>Hazard Assessment<\/li>\n<li>Health &amp; Safety Committee Training<\/li>\n<li>Health &amp; Safety Program Development<\/li>\n<li>Infection Control Certification Training<\/li>\n<li>Right-to-Know Training \u2013 Beyond Regulatory<\/li>\n<li>Safe Patient Handling<\/li>\n<li>Slips, Trips, and Falls Training<\/li>\n<li>Workplace Violence Prevention Program \u2013 Beyond Regulatory Mandate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<span class=\"primary-btn-container\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pef.org\/pef_files\/files\/pdf\/2023-2026-SHIP-Grant-Application-w-Instructions-Fillable.pdf\">Printable or fillable application form<\/a><\/span>\n<p>We <strong>encourage multi-agency or statewide projects<\/strong>.
