She began her career at PEF in 2010 as Associate Counsel and, after a brief departure in late 2017, returned in early 2020. Alison was promoted to Assistant General Counsel in August 2021 before advancing to her current role in August 2025.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<figure id=\"attachment_13080\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-13080\" style=\"width: 200px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-13080 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pef.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Alison-Thorne.jpg\" alt=\"Alison Thorne\" width=\"200\" height=\"266\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-13080\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Alison Thorne<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Alison launched her legal career in 2005 as an Appellate Court Attorney at the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Department. She went on to serve as an Assistant District Attorney in the Albany County District Attorney\u2019s Office, where she prosecuted a wide range of cases\u2014from felonies and misdemeanors to vehicle and traffic matters\u2014and appeared in County Court, City Court, and various town and village courts. She also argued multiple appeals before the Appellate Division.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Outside of her legal work, Alison resides in Colonie with her two sons and serves on the Board of Directors for the North Colonie Youth Baseball Association.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Alison is the Deputy General Counsel in the Office of General Counsel at PEF.
