The contributions are used to lobby for legislation that support public employees and protect the rights of workers<\/p>\n<p>Contributions may also be used to support candidates that PEF has endorsed. Endorsements are debated and made by the PEF Executive Board with the advice and recommendations of its statewide and regional political action committees. PEF members serve on these political action committees that interview candidates and make their determinations based on voting records and positions on issues important to PEF members and working families.<\/p>\n<p>Active PEF Members can sign up for COPE electronically by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pef.org\/departments\/political-action\/cope\/cope-form\/\">clicking here. <\/a>Retired PEF Members can email <a href=\"mailto:COPE@pef.org\">COPE@pef.org<\/a> and request a signup form be emailed to them.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; TAKE A STAND AND JOIN COPE \u2013 the Committee On Political Education!
