DESCRIPTION:PEF IT Summit on Artificial Intelligence scheduled for Wednesday\, July 10\, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Desmond Hotel\, 660 Albany-Shaker Road in Albany. Dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m. The summit is a joint venture of the PEF Statewide Information Technology Committee\, PEF Division 357 (Office of Information Technology Services) and PEF Region 8. \nAI is rapidly changing the IT world with computers imitating the role of humans in their ability to learn\, reason and correct themselves. With AI already in effect in key industries across New York and the U.S.\, it is incumbent upon IT professionals to challenge themselves as to how best to utilize this technology for the benefit of all New Yorkers and the world. \nOne of the key goals of the PEF IT Summit on AI is to start a conversation about Artificial Intelligence to explore rules and protocols for this new\, fast-growing technology. While many agencies in New York State are trying to utilize AI\, it is time that all the stakeholders impacted by this technology come together to discuss the ramifications going forward. \nAgain\, we would be delighted to have you attend the PEF IT Summit on AI. DESCRIPTION:Picnic Pavilion – The ValleyCats Picnic Pavilion is the most popular picnic area at “The Joe!” This covered area is located down the right field line and is ideal for groups of various sizes. Enjoy a delicious dinner\, served one hour pregame\, then head to your reserved box seats to enjoy the game! Each guest receives a souvenir ValleyCats cap! (The pavilion has limited seating but can accommodate our 200 members comfortably) \n2024 Menu: BBQ Chicken\, Pulled Pork\, Hot Dogs\, Pasta Salad\, Potato Salad\, Chips\, Soda\, and Water. \nThere is a 4-ticket maximum per member order.  This is done since there are over 18\,000 active members in PEF and 7\,000 retirees.  We are and have been able to purchase 200 tickets for this event each year and once that maximum is met\, ticket sales will end as it is on a first come first served basis. \nOrders are purchased online through SWOOGO ONLY and we have no ability to take checks\, cash\, Venmo\, or PayPal. \nThere will be a PEF check in table in front of the gates to pick up your tickets the night of the event.  We also remind you to bring ID since tickets will be left at the Box Office WILL CALL Window for late arrivals once the check in table is closed. \nThere are tickets being sold for the event at the box office if tickets in addition to the 4 you purchase are needed for admittance to the game\, but it will not include the picnic or will not provide a seat in the reserved PEF section
