For PEF members residing in the capital region, the Capital District Area Labor Foundation (CDALF) needs your help! On June 12, 2020, CDALF helped organize its first mass food distribution. It was held at the Labor Temple in Albany and more than 100 union members showed up to lend a hand.
COVID-19 not only caused a health crisis, it caused an economic crisis. CDALF is part of a great coalition led by the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York, Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Albany, and many other groups, faith communities and unions. This coalition has organized more than 125 of these essential food distributions, helping feed tens of thousands of people.
On Friday, June 11, CDALF is marking its one-year anniversary by participating in a mass food distribution at the Macedonia Baptist Church, 26 Wilson Avenue, Albany. They need volunteers at 8:00 am and the distribution starts at 9:30. Everyone is welcome!
