PEF is seeking participation from all its members to help identify issues at your agencies regarding equal employment.
PEF’s Affirmative Action Committee urges members to complete a Survey Monkey. The survey only takes a few minutes to complete, and will be available until
May 31. The results of the survey will help arm the committee with facts about discrimination in the workplace and the ways management denies equal access to employment and promotions within state agencies.

PEF Vice President Adreina Adams chairs the committee, and PEF Division 373 Council Leader Theresa Williams is the deputy chair. They said PEF is committed to assist the state in the development of recruitment procedures, hiring practices, promotional opportunities, professional development, educational advancement, testing and a monitoring system to ensure unbiased opportunities in state government.
“Your participation is necessary,” Williams said. “Based on your survey responses, recommendations will be made by PEF to joint committees, so they can incorporate goals in each agency’s workforce management plan. Answers to the survey will help reflect the specific strategies needed to deal with issues of equal employment.”
Any member interested in joining a regional affirmative action committee should add their contact information in the “Name” section on the survey.
