The Public Service Workshops Program will present an Aspiring Leaders Program in New York City from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. September 19 to 21. 

This three-day in-person training provides participants with emotionally intelligent leadership skills to lead teams and create motivating work environments that foster trust and accountability. 

The lectures, class discussions, and activities will address real-world issues. Course topics will include: 

  • Leading Self and Others 
  • Emotional Intelligence 
  • Effective Communication 
  • Setting and Attaining Goals 
  • Improving Performance 
  • Developing a Leadership Action Plan 

Prior to the workshop, enrollees will be required to complete an online DiSC assessment. Participants will be sent the workbook via email prior to the first session. 

There are a limited number of seats available in this session. Employees who are waitlisted will be given advance notification when additional sessions are scheduled. The program is for PEF-represented and Management/Confidential employees in grades 18 to M1. Supervisory approval is required. Former Leadership Development Program graduates are not eligible.
