Governor Hochul’s executive budget was released on Jan. 18 and hearings before legislative committees started today. First up is a joint Senate and Assembly hearing on Public Protection — PEF submitted written testimony from President Wayne Spence highlighting our concerns surrounding budget proposals impacting DOCCS and the Office of Information Technology Services.
Each labor union may testify virtually just once during the budget cycle and PEF Vice President Randi DiAntonio will do so at a Jan. 31 hearing about the Public Workforce. That hearing is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Jan. 31. Here is the full schedule of hearings.
