Last updated Jan. 5, 2023PEF has been notified that the State will not be extending the 2.5 Overtime Agreements now in effect at the three SUNY Hospitals, DOCCS, OMH, OPWDD, DOH (specified hospitals/facilities), OCFS, and OASAS.

A2.5 Timesll the current 2.5 overtime agreements outlined below expired on Dec. 31, 2022.

We have pressed the State on what their plan is for covering inevitable overtime as staffing levels have not improved and the cost of travelers remains inordinately high.  We will of course monitor mandated overtime this year, as we believe eliminating 2.5x OT agreements may end up costing the State more than they expect to save. We will provide additional information as soon as we have more to report.

The agreements are as follows:

DOCCS: The agreement will be in effect until 10:59 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2022, unless extended again. Click here for a copy of the MOA.

DOH: The agreement is in effect until 10:59 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2022, unless extended again. Click here for the MOA and list of impacted titles.

OASAS: The agreement is in effect until 10:59 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2022, unless extended again. Click here for the MOA and a list of impacted titles.

OCFS: The agreement is in effect until 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2022, unless extended again. Click here for the amendment to the MOA. The original MOA, which lists the eligible titles, can be seen here.

OMH: The agreement is in effect through Dec. 31, 2022, unless extended again.  Click here for the MOA and a list of impacted titles.

OPWDD: The agreement will be in effect until 10:59 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2022, unless extended again.  Click here for a copy of the MOA, which also includes a list of impacted titles.

SUNY: The agreement is in effect until Dec. 31, 2022, unless extended.  It applies to Upstate University Hospital, Stony Brook University Hospital, University Hospital of Brooklyn and Long Island State Veterans Home. Click here for the MOA and a list of impacted titles.
