Governor Cuomo's 2013 "New York Rising Communities" proposal to close OPWDD and DOCCS facilities and his proposed "Centers for Excellence" plan for OMH threaten critical state services PEF members provide to communities throughout New York State, and jeopardize the employment of our members and the economic stability of those communities. Sign on to support PEF's PRIORITIES: Opposing reductions in vital state services to vulnerable New Yorkers in our communities. Opposing privatization of state-provided services, as this lowers the quality of those services. Opposing the reduction of qualified state staff who are professionally trained to provide services. Ensuring the continuity of employment of PEF members with no geographic hardship.
