CONTRACT UPDATE #21

TABLE TALK

PEF's PS&T contract team continues to meet with a team of negotiators from the Executive Branch headed by representatives of the Governor's Office of Employee Relations (GOER).

We entered another phase of negotiations this past week. Negotiators came to agreement in principle regarding the grievance and out of title processes. Language is being worked out.  These are the first agreements reached since ground rules and sunset extensions. This movement occurs while rumors swirl about us that that CSEA, representing 4 of the 14 bargaining units dealing with GOER, has advanced to a late stage of bargaining. 

Bargainers also met on issues surrounding the SED Schools for the Deaf and Blind.

NEXT MEETING

The parties are scheduled to meet on October 10.
