TABLE TALK
With the outstanding issues on Health Benefits finally resolved, negotiations shifted to the other important proposals still to be resolved.  Following that breakthrough, we met with the State three days in this past week.  On May 25, we presented them with a comprehensive, full-package contract proposal.

The negotiations sessions have become intense and focused.  There have been substantive discussions and real progress made on a number of issues, and we have scheduled multiple meetings over the next two weeks. In addition to the progress on 'main table' issues, our team for the School for the Deaf and Blind met this week to address the outstanding issues that remain on their tables.  We also have scheduled a date for our Rowell Park team to come to Albany.

Progress is incremental, but it is progress nonetheless.  We remain cautiously optimistic that this momentum will carry us forward to a full agreement.
