TABLE TALK
Regular AIM readers know that the State will not negotiate on any issue until
the Union agrees to its Hospital Network demand (see last week's AIM at
http://www.pef.org/aim.htm). The Union
has refused to accept the network until such time that our legitimate questions
have been answered and our concerns have been assuaged. The negotiators have
continued the back and forth communications necessary to iron out their
differences regarding this stumbling block with no resolution as yet.
ISSUE SPOTLIGHT: THE NETWORK
PEF has finalized its in-depth Q&A regarding the Network. It is posted on our
website at

OCA SETTLES
The Office of Court Administration (OCA), a coalition representing 8 unions
comprised of court employees located in NYC and Long Island, has come to
contract settlements that embody the same across the board terms as those agreed
to by CSEA. Read about the specifics at
http://www.pef.org/pst2003/court_officers_deal_chief04092004.pdf
FRAUDULENT CONTRACT INFO
PEF learned this past week that a fraudulent press release and newspaper article
announcing a PEF Contract is circulating throughout the State. Neither of these
documents is true, and PEF is continuing its negotiations toward a successor
agreement. For the latest information on the status of negotiations, you can
rely on what is in AIM and posted on our web site.
