Bargaining continues next week

PEF’s contract team and the state negotiators continued talks during meetings this week for the upcoming PS&T contract with lots of questions and understanding.

“What we accomplished was a closer in-depth look at our proposal,” said PEF Contract Chair Ken Brynien. “The state negotiators asked a lot of questions, and PEF provided detailed explanations.”

The state also re-confirmed the continuation of the Voluntary Reduction and Work Schedule program (VRWS) throughout negotiations. There had been some concern by an agency that the VRWS program would sunset.

The next meeting for the PS&T contract will be Wednesday, March 5.
