Article 9 - Health Insurance |
Both PEF and the State have made comprehensive proposals on Health Insurance. PEF is seeking to increase health insurance, dental and vision benefits. The State has proposed to increase the cost of different elements of the Empire Plan: Notably the Co-pay for doctor visits would rise to $12 by the end of the Agreement, and the prescription drug co-pay would change to $15 brand name/$5 generic from its current $8. They have also proposed a new co-pay for vision benefits of $25. The State is willing to consider benefit enhancements but only in the context of PEF accepting some of the State's proposals on cost increases. |

Article 10- EAP |
PEF has proposed increasing the appropriation to this Committee by $75,000. The annual appropriation will increase each year by 3%. |
