George E. Pataki

Governor

Over the last four years, Governor George Pataki has made preventing layoffs of our members a priority - despite some very difficult economic times.  He has pledged to continue his job-security activities next year.

Governor Pataki also has:

·       Worked with PEF to achieve permanent, automatic cost-of-living adjustments to state pensions;

·       Worked with PEF to eliminate the employee pension contribution for tier 3 and 4 members after 10 years of service; and

·       Pledged to take the steps necessary to restore the three sick days taken away from state employees hired after April 1st, 1982.

Vote for George Pataki for Governor.

Alan Hevesi

State Comptroller

Alan Hevesi served in the New York State Assembly for 22 years.  Alan Hevesi is the only candidate for Comptroller who has actually been a Comptroller.  He’s the only candidate who has managed pension funds, and the only candidate who has audited government agencies.

Alan Hevesi has:

·       Always been an outspoken supporter of the Civil Service system;

·       Continuously been a strong advocate for public employee pension systems; and

·       Proven himself as a very capable Comptroller through his work as the New York City Comptroller where he increased the pension fund by tens of billions of dollars.

He will bring the same kind of success as New York State Comptroller.  And, Alan is always accessible to our members.

Vote for Alan Hevesi for Comptroller.
