NYS Executive Chamber Memo:
Guidance on union access to employees in the workplace

Seal-New-York-State-Small-CMYK-300dpiIn our continued effort to fight for PEF leaders to have access to their members, we requested that the Governor issue guidance to all New York State Agency and Authority leadership with respect to union access.

The attached memo, directly from the Governor’s Counsel, was sent to all New York State Agency and Authority leadership on August 10, 2018.

Please print a copy of this memo and keep it available in case some agency leadership are not aware that the Governor’s Counsel stated, “It is equally vital that your managers recognize that access to membership in the workplace is important for each union.”

The sustained positive relationship PEF has built with the Governor, the Governor’s Office of Employee Relations (GOER) and the Governor’s staff has been key in the post-Janus labor movement and increased access to our membership at the workplace. Click here to download memorandum pdf
