At the 21st Annual Freedom Fund Dinner Oct. 5, the Rome branch of the NAACP presented Sametta Shaw-Lipiec and the New York State Public Employees Federation with the A. Philip Randolph Freedom Fund Award.

The keynote speaker at the dinner was former New York Gov. David Paterson. Also in attendance was Assemblywoman Marianne Buttenschon.
