McRorie said the Region 4 Political Action Committee decided to endorse Williams, a former PEF member who is now a manager at the state Labor Department. She is a former state assistant attorney general and a former lieutenant in the U.S. Navy. She was presented by the Greater Syracuse Central Labor Council with a 2016 Friend of Labor Award. Williams thanked PEF for its early endorsement and said, “Our unions are vital to ensuring good-paying jobs, safe working conditions and fair legislation …. I look forward to working with them to give a voice to all union members and all individuals working in our city.”
