WISH COME TRUE – PEF Executive Board member and Division 180 Council Leader Vincent Cicatello and his son, Vinny Cicatello Jr., enjoy the Super Bowl thanks to the Make A Wish Foundation that sent them to the game to fulfill Vinny’s wish. Vinny Jr., who was born with no immune response to infections, is a huge Lady Gaga fan and since she starred in the half-time show, the event was a double treat. “It was such an awesome father-son trip that we will always remember and hold dearly in our hearts,” Cicatello Sr. said. “This was truly a wish come true.”

Purim commemorates the survival of the Jewish people in ancient Persia (now Iran) from the threat of annihilation by Haman. This story is found in the Megillat Ester (biblical Old Testament book of Esther). The event is traditionally celebrated by giving to the poor and to friends, and by sharing a Purim feast. The committee’s celebration will include music and food such as falafels and hummus, salads and kosher wine, among other treats.

If you would like to attend, please call 516-660-1972 or email committee Chair Paul Kalka at gro.f1493381638ep@ak1493381638lakp1493381638. —  Sherry Halbrook
