PEF’s Women’s Program holds seminar

The PEF Women’s Program invites members throughout the state to a seminar Saturday, March 3 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at PEF Headquarters in Latham.

PEF Region 10 Coordinator and Women’s Program Chair, Vernetta Chesimard, said the event will include a workshop on “Women In the Labor Movement,” “Stress Management,” and “The Many Roles of a PEF Steward.” The cost is $15 which includes lunch. PEF Region 8 Women’s Program plans health fair

The PEF Region 8 Women’s Program will hold a one day health fair on Saturday, March 19 at the New York State United Teachers (NYSUT) headquarters in Latham from 9:30 to 3:30 p.m. The fair will feature workshops on heart health, chiropractic care, cervical cancer awareness and much more. The cost for lunch is $10. Those interested in attending should make a luncheon reservation by March 5 by calling (518) 785-1900 ext. 215. If you are interested in attending the popular PEF Women’s Program retreat on Saturday, February 26 at the RIT Inn and Conference Center in Rochester, you must register by Friday, February 18. The retreat offers members union training as well as workshops for personal growth.
