PEF, delegates prepare for 33rd annual convention in Niagara Falls

PEF leaders and union delegates are preparing for the union’s 33rd annual convention that will be held in Niagara Falls September 11-14.

The convention provides the opportunity to set PEF’s course for the future.

PEF President Ken Brynien said the union is facing many challenges and that the convention will provide a platform for members to discuss current issues and become unified. Brynien said during a time of ongoing state fiscal crisis, it is important for members to stand together, support each other and focus on issues most important to the membership.

PEF leaders prepare for its 32nd Annual PEF Convention

PEF leaders and staff are making the final preparations for the union’s 32nd Annual Convention which will take place September 12 -15 in Washington, D.C.

The convention provides the opportunity to set PEF’s course for the future.

PEF President Ken Brynien said the union will face many challenges in the future, such as a new governor in 2011, the ongoing state fiscal crisis, as well as calls to slash the work force, benefits and pensions.

Brynien said the convention will help union leaders remain unified and focused on the issues most important to PEF members.
