Black and Puerto Rican legislators hold annual conference
Monday, January 30, 2012 at 12:00PM The New York State Association of Black and Puerto Rican Legislators is getting ready for its 41st annual conference held February 17-19 in Albany. This year’s theme is “Get Healthy, Get Involved, Get Empowered.”
This annual statewide event allows the association to raise scholarship funds for the educational advancement of African-American, Hispanic and other minority youth. On Saturday, February 18, in the North Concourse of the Empire state Plaza, there will be an exhibit fair from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Those who plan on attending should stop by and visit the PEF booth.
