Rally set to support North Country prisons

A rally to stop the closures of North Country prisons will take place Tuesday, March 23 at 2:30 p.m. on the west side of the State Capitol. PEF President Ken Brynien will be one of the speakers. The rally is being sponsored by the Save Ogdensburg Correctional Facility Task Force. Members are being asked to attend and help support the union’s brothers and sisters. Longevity Awards due in April

The Office of the State Comptroller has issued a payroll bulletin saying the Performance Longevity Awards will be paid in separate checks. Eligible employees on the Administrative payroll will receive their check April 14, and those on the Institution payroll, April 22. There will be no direct deposit for this payment.

The payment criteria has not changed. Visit the Contract Resource Center on the PEF Web site for information about eligibility.
