PEF CALL TO POLITICAL ACTION

PEF Priority Races By Region

The following candidates are in a priority competitive race where PEF is concentrating its resources and where PEF members can make a difference. None of these candidates supported the Tier 6 pension legislation, and all of them support the Triborough amendment which keeps public employee benefits in place when their contract expires in return for giving up their right to strike. They also support legislation to protect nurses and patients from workplace injuries and to reduce the use of consultants in state agencies by requiring a cost-benefit analysis before giving state employee work to consultants. They are also all endorsed by the Working Families Party.

If you can help these candidates by working phone banks, walking door to door, or helping in other campaign activities the last week before the election please call or e-mail the Regional Coordinator or PAC chair indicated below. If we want a better contract in the future and better results in the legislature, we need to come out and work for candidates that will advocate for PEF members. Please participate; the job you save may be your own!  All other PEF endorsements can be found at www.pef.org.
