Employees whose official workstation is 50 Park Place should continue with their reassignments and contact their supervisor for further instructions.

If you have any questions you should contact the Office of Employee Relations at (518) 457-6651.

Time Records Update

Due to the Disaster, there are several locations in the NYC area that do not have functioning computers and employees cannot access the automated time and attendance system (PYAR). In addition, there are also employees that cannot access their work location. In order to process the information necessary for PYAR, please provide the following:

Employees At A Department Location Without Access To The Automated Time And Attendance System (PYAR)

All annual salaried and hourly employees who are unable to input their report of attendance into the PYAR system, must follow this procedure:

The supervisor is to compile the information for their staff for the payroll period August 30 – September 12, 2001 and post it on the attachment exactly as shown. A separate attachment is required for annual salaried staff and one for hourly staff. This process should continue until the employee has access to the PYAR.

Supervisors are reminded that regular hourly employees are only entitled to payment for actual hours worked. Special hourlies (those who have completed 19 pay periods and accrue leave credits) are entitled to be paid for directed/excused absences (charged to Miscellaneous Code 51) in the same manner as annual salaried employees.

The list is to be faxed to the payroll office at 518-457-7696.

Supervisors who have previously submitted hourly information on their staff in some other manner must NOT resubmit this information. The previously submitted information is being used to process hourly payments for those employees.

Employees Unable To Access A Department Location

Annual salaried employees will be paid without the need for further action.

Regular hourly employees with office locations at 50 Park Place and 345 Hudson Street will be paid based on the number of hours reported on their attendance records to date. Special hourly (completed 19 pay periods and accrue leave credits) employees in these locations will be paid for their usual number of hours.

Attendance records should be completed and brought up to date as soon as the PYAR is available to them. In all cases, adjustments, as necessary, will be made in subsequent paychecks.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to call Lorri Beer at 518-457-3127.

Please make every effort to pass this information on to all affected employees. This information is also available on the Department’s website www.labor.state.ny.us and PEF and CSEA websites – www.pef.org or www.csealocal1000.net.
