2009 Voluntary Severance Program

State Announces Second Window to Offer VSP

The Division of Budget has directed State agencies to make another round of offers of the Voluntary Severance Plan to interested employees.  In part, this additional window is in response to the many employees who have expressed interest in the program through this website.  The terms of the program are unchanged except that (1) the VSP payment can no longer be split into two payments and (2) all employees will have the option to withdraw their irrevocable letter of resignation up to the effective date of their separation.

Employees who have not previously indicated their interest on the PEF website should do so immediately.  In addition, we encourage all interested employees to make their interest known to their personnel office as soon as possible.  Remember, all official offers will come from your Agency.

The links below contain information produced by PEF as well as official documents distributed by the State.  While these documents include application forms, it is important to remember that your agency must target your position before you become eligible. Unless that happens prior to your acceptance of the severance and your separation from payroll, you may not be eligible for the severance payment.  REVIEW YOUR OPTIONS CAREFULLY and verify all information with your agency PRIOR to resigning or retiring from State service.
