State Racing & Wagering Board
The enacted budget (May 16, 2002) makes the following changes to the Executive Budget:
· Adds $1.3 million SRO for the Statewide Gaming program for services and expenses related to state’s administration of video lottery gaming and Indian gaming.
The Executive Budget recommends (analysis as of January 29, 2002):
· An estimated FTE level of 115, which represents a decrease of 8 FTEs as follows: Administration Program (-1 FTE), Audit and Investigation (-2 FTEs), and Regulation of Wagering Program (-5 FTEs).
· No change to the State Operations funding level from the prior State Fiscal Year (SFY01-02). It is unclear how the Board will be able to handle its increased responsibilities under the legislation that expanded gambling throughout the State with fewer employees than in the previous year.
