This three-day workshop provides participants with skills to lead teams and create motivating work environments that foster trust and accountability. Lecture, class discussion, and engaging activities address real-world issues.
Course topics include: • Leading Self and Others, • Emotional Intelligence, • Overcoming Resistance, • Building Coalitions, • Effective Communication, • Setting and Attaining Goals, • Professionalism in the Workplace, and • Developing a Leadership Action Plan.
Prior to the workshop, enrollees will be required to complete an online DiSC assessment and bring their results to the first day of class.
This workshop is open to PEF-represented employees in Grades 18-23 and M/C employees in Grades 18-M1. Supervisory approval is required. Former Leadership Development Program (LDP) graduates are not eligible to attend.
Dates and Times:
Tuesday – Thursday, March 5, 6, and 7, 2019; 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Attendance of all three days is required. Given the possibility of winter weather, we are asking participants to be available for possible attendance on Friday, March 8th in case one of the regularly scheduled training days needs to be cancelled due to severe weather.
