Contract Negotiation Update from the Kent/Garcia Administration:

PEF and the State are meeting today (6/9) and tomorrow (6/10) as our contract negotiations continue.  PEF will continue to negotiate a contract that will include Economic Gain throughout the provisions of our contract, Re-professionalization of PEF (contract language that provides for and protects a union of professionals) and Worklife/Homelife Balance – all of which we know are important to our members.

There is a video on the PEF website that you can see HERE, that Maureen Kellman, our Contract Team Chair and President Kent put together to speak to the members about what we are seeking.

While we can’t tell you what the outcome will be, we can promise you that there will be no zeroes, there will be no DRL days and we are seeking economic gain throughout our Contract, including across the boards.  PEF and the State will also have Contract Negotiations on June 24 and 25.
