On May 14th, PEF L/M Chairs came together to share insight and guidance on the content and delivery approach of the Joint Labor and Management Curriculum that is underdevelopment. The requirement for delivery of this joint effort- curriculum and subsequent training- is detailed in the side letter in the 2011-2015 contract. President Kent shared the background on the agreements made at the Executive Labor Management table that has moved this development forward. “Effective L/M is critical to building good relationships between labor and management to ensure fair working conditions. It is our goal to create a curriculum that can be customized to the needs of individual agency committees”.
An advisory committee of PEF L/M chairs will guide the process throughout .It is anticipated that the curriculum will be piloted in early Fall.
