The Workforce Initiatives (WFI) Program is a vehicle by which labor and management work together to provide funding to address education and training needs of PEF-represented employees. WFI project proposals must have the support of both labor and management, and address education or training needs.
The Labor-Management Nursing (LMN) Grant Program provides funding to address education and training needs of PEF-represented nurses.
Application due dates for both of these programs was October 1, 2014. However, due to updates to the guidelines and a delay in getting them posted onto the Governor’s Office of Employee Relations’ website, PEF requested that the deadline be extended. GOER has agreed and the new deadline date for the programs is November 14, 2014.
