Executive Board/Convention

The Office of Executive Board and Convention Coordinator is responsible for all arrangements related to Executive Board meetings, annual convention as well as many other PEF-related events and activities.

Convention
This department, together with Vice President Joe Fox, the Convention Committee, Region 1 Coordinator, Joyce Degenhardt and the regional committee, coordinated all preparations for this year’s annual convention.

This department has been working closely with Kim Deerfield, Executive Assistant to the Secretary-Treasurer, to handle all housing for this convention. We are also working with the staff of the Education and Mobilization Department regarding workshops that will be presented; Membership Benefits regarding exhibits, the delegate bags and other promotional materials; Divisions in preparation of the Delegate Information Kit material; Public Relations for printing and designing various documents, the stage backdrop and floor press coverage; Membership Information Systems Department regarding various formats of print-outs of convention lists and convention badges.

Next year’s convention will be held in Buffalo, New York on October 6 -9.

Record Keeping
Upon review of transcripts of Executive Board meetings and the annual convention, this department prepares minutes for Executive Board approval together with a compilation of policies, for inclusion in the Policy Manual, that have been adopted by the Executive Board or adopted as Convention resolution. This department maintains many of PEF’s historical records and provides the officers and staff with research services.

Executive Board
This department works very closely with the President and Secretary-Treasurer and their staff, preparing agendas, sending out notifications, gathering reports and preparing all material for the Executive Board members.

Conferences
Several conferences held during the past year were coordinated through this department.

Goals
To give consideration to all participants when planning Conventions, Executive Board Meetings and other conferences, regarding locations, accommodations, travel, and religious holidays.
