Executive Offices

The Executive Offices of PEF which include the Legislative Office, the Public Relations Department, Divisions Department, Education and Training Department, Convention and Executive Board Office, and the Office of Human Resources, have all worked together with other PEF departments to further President Benson’s goals of a stronger contract, increased job security, true retirement reform and merit system enforcement.

With the help of many PEF members and officers and under the direction of Staff Director Stephen Chamberlain, PEF has moved toward reaching these goals.

The Legislative Office has doggedly pursued PEF’s political agenda with major success in the area of retirement reform.

The Public Relations Department, in addition to their regular duties of producing The Communicator and other publications, has developed advertisements, graphic arts materials and press releases, and arranged forums to promote PEF’s position on many issues.

The Education and Training Department has provided training in political action for members and staff.

The Office of Human Resources has been actively recruiting new employees to help us to achieve our goals.

The Convention and Executive Board Office has been working diligently to ensure a smooth convention, and Executive Board meetings, and has been instrumental in arranging for events such as the first meeting of the SEIU New York State Council.

The Divisions Department continues to make sure that PEF is properly organized and functioning within the PEF and division constitutions.

All of the departments and offices which fall under the Executive Offices should be commended for the effort and roles they have played in the movement of PEF toward our goals.
