Welcome

I would like to welcome you to a union I have been proud to be a part of for 25 years. I wish to thank you for visiting our site and I hope you will find it helpful and informative.

PEF is one of the largest local white-collar unions in the United States and is New York's second-largest state-employee union.

We also represent hundreds of employees who work in private-sector jobs and local government agencies such as: Albany County Probation Department; Albany Housing Authority; NYS Canal Corporation; National Development and Research Inc; and, Lockport Memorial Hospital

PEF promotes the welfare of its members by representing them on all terms and conditions of employment. We work to improve wages, hours, and conditions by organizing members, negotiating with management, and maintaining strong legislative programs.
